This workshop focuses on risks to drinking water quality, how chlorine works, the factors that affect its efficacy, safe handling and storage of chlorine products, how to calculate chlorine demand and action planning for selecting suitable solutions .It is intended for people who work in drinking water treatment, HWTS, community health etc. The lesson plans and accompanying materials should be adapted to the needs of the participants and the context of the country.This workshop is based on academic research, practitioner experiences, and lessons learned by staff at CAWST (the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology).Note: At the beginning of the workshop, we will be asking for photo and video consent using the statement below.Consent*: I consent to video footage and photos of myself being taken and used in AFMAC and CAWST Marketing and communication (i.e brochures, presentations, website, social media posts, newsletters, educational materials).
