In this course, participants will learn how to calculate the correct chlorine dosage for drinking water in emergency settings and understand the factors that affect chlorine effectiveness.

 

Topics include: factors to consider before chlorinating, definitions of free, combined, and used chlorine, common problems encountered in the field when chlorinating water and calculation of dosage for batch chlorination and shock chlorination of tanks and wells.
