The role of the Community WASH Promoter is essential for the successful implementation of any water, sanitation, or hygiene (WASH) initiative.  Through this workshop, participants will gain a clear understanding of the best practices for supporting community members in changing their behaviours of WASH practices.

The workshop begins with an exploration of the importance of WASH, its benefits, and the challenges of achieving behaviour change.  It then covers technical aspects of WASH; with focus on household water treatment and safe storage, latrines, various hygiene issues, and gender.  Finally, steps and strategies for effectively working with households and community members is discussed.
